cont. Assembling your own Home Gym and its Benefits

You should set up your home gym so that you can attain your goals for not only weight loss, but aerobics, strength training and flexibility for getting in shape. These three elements are extremely important to our fitness routine. The minimum for an aerobic workout for training your heart is 20 minutes three times a week. That could include a stimulating walk or jog around your neighborhood. Before you begin an exercise program, it is important to know your heart rate. Once you have done so, you may begin exercising. You may prefer to run or walk. But since not all areas of the country are conducive to running or walking outdoors throughout the year, due to the weather (either extreme hot or cold or other elements), you may want to invest in an aerobic exercise machine of your own. This would include a treadmill, an elliptical trainer or an exercise bike, or even a jump rope. You will obtain a vigorous cardio workout from any exercise involving those types of equipment. And, of course, you will also burn fat and calories.

Building strong muscles and developing healthy dense bone mass to prevent osteoporosis are just some of the result of strength training. All you need for strength training are a pair of dumbbells and a weight bench, or you can even purchase resistive bands. Over time, muscles will adapt to stress which is produced by strength training. However, the small tears that that are produced in the muscles during training will create muscle tissue that is firmer and denser. This takes place during the repair portion of your training. Therefore, it is very important that you make rest a part of your exercise. After you are done with your exercise program, it is very important to stretch your muscles before quitting. Stretching will avoid sore muscles due to the buildup of by products in the cells. If you do not cool down by stretching your muscles after exercise, it could result in injuries due to the lost range of motion and loss of flexibility. Use a mat on which to conduct your cool down routines of stretching your muscles. You should now be encouraged to participate in an exercise program that you can do in the privacy and convenience of your own home.
